Crafty Plans for the Week

Hi there!

This weekend has caused the crafty stuff to be put on hold a little, which isn’t exactly unexpected – in the end we all need a break every now and then! I have got a lot to do this week to catch up on everything, so this morning I have been making a to do list.

I have sorted the photos from Sunday for my scrap-book page, and need to print these and the photos from Bonfire Night. Which is an easy job for me to do this afternoon, when my friend returns home. This isn’t until later this afternoon though.

Other than that, this week I intend to finish cross-stitching 2 or 3 squares for the advent calendar, which should be easy enough to do if I dedicate my time properly. And going shopping for the second time yesterday I got a bit more into the Christmas spirit, when I managed to find some adorable wooden ornaments for my tree (OH and I got our 3ft tree the other day (Just a small one as the big tree of the house is downstairs) They are so cute, these are similar to give you an idea (but not the same)

I had to have them! I like the way I am buying all the christmas stuff every now and then, makes the lead up a little more gradual – I’ve even been doing that with my present buying!

So this week, scrapbooking will all be up to date, stitching will be AT LEAST half way! And I have to do a card or two this week for a couple of birthdays coming up!

Just a short one today, hope you have a fab Tuesday!

Happy Crafting!

Baby You’re A Firework!

Hey there!

I hope you’re having a great weekend, I am going well with my list of jobs to do – other than the washing machine breaking, that was a bit of a pain! Still I’m sure it’ll get sorted! I have been busy baking… I made muffins a couple of days ago, but I also made more this morning! Seriously we now have so many blueberry muffins in our kitchen, I think I went a little too far!

Slightly off-topic there, but hey! In other news, I did indeed manage to plan a scrap-book page layout, and even got as far as choosing my photos! Amazing! (Sneaky reveal I have also cross-stitched another square for The BIG Project…) So I have been crafting away! And I have more planned for today! (Bauble perhaps, maybe something different).

So here’s the layout, in the stages I organised myself in: I took some cardstock in a dark blue, and chose my lettering….  These are great little sticky backed foam letters. I am a HUGE fan of different lettering, and I had to get these when I saw them!

I then chose some coordinating coloured paper, for photo mats (The pink was the closest I had):  Happy with this, I removed the middle bits from the lettering, and stuck everything down…  I haven’t printed out the photos I will be using, but lucky for me, they don’t need to be printed for me to show you! So here they are! These, in this order are the three that will be at the top of the page, and then below, will be these two - Awww look it’s me and OH!

I might photoshop the ambulance out maybe… just have a black background, looks a bit weird.

But yes, this is the plan. I’m gonna take this moment to point out, when I say camera, at this point in time, I mean the camera on my mobile phone… It’s not bad, the only problem I really have with it is its lack of flash! I am hoping to get one soon though… joys of my birthday at the end of the month and Christmas soon after!

So there we are, a scrap-book layout for bonfire night all done! I wonder how long it’ll take me to print out the photos!

Did anyone else go out to see any displays this year? Or have you been making anything recently you’d like to share, either here or on the Thisisthecraftyone Facebook Page? Up to anything this coming week? I’d love to hear from you! I have lots to do – as you will find out this coming week, got at least 2 special things as well as some more cross-stitching updates!

Have a great day,

Happy Crafting!
